The Microbiology Club helps to inform students about the microbiology major and provides a community forum for students to learn about career opportunities and the latest news in microbiology.
Since 2006 the club has sponsored 6 scientific seminars, had two "Careers in Science" forums, participated in AU outreach activities, an "Undergraduate Research" forum, and had a field trip to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
There are 43 current members of the club, and 34 students are members in the American Society for Microbiology.
